Local flavors of Siem Reap:

As you walk through the center of Siem Reap , you will encounter a large number of delicious surprises: a selection of tasty dishes recognized by Cambodian cuisine.

To begin your exploration, around 5:30 p.m., transfer by tuk tuk to the heart of the city, in a local house, an aperitif will be served to you as well as an assortment of local dishes that the Khmers love. You will continue to a secret but famous local destination where they serve traditional saak koh ang : grilled beef with vegetables, all accompanied by local beer or other drinks. The evening will continue with a visit to the night market, then a final tasty lively local stop, before ending your taste adventure near the river to taste a traditional dessert. All these gastronomic stops will make you spend an evening full of flavors!

Return by tuk tuk to your accommodation.

Cooking classes in an organic garden:

You will be welcomed by the chef who will give you a presentation of Cambodian cuisine and culture. After visiting the local market, your tuk tuk will take you to the organic garden where you will have an explanation of the different stages of Cambodian agriculture. You will also pick up the vegetables essential for making the recipes. You can then start the Cambodian cooking challenge at your own stand!

Option 1: entry into the local artistic world of Siem Reap

Guided by your dedicated tuktuk driver, you will explore the local art galleries of Siem Reap. 

You will enjoy a cocktail and generous snacks to enjoy the moments of this artistic experience.

Duration: 3 hours

Activity impossible on Sundays and Mondays.

Option 2: Angkor tour by tuk tuk in 1 day (Angkor Wat-Bay On-Ta Prohm)

Day visit to the famous and grandiose site of Angkor by tuk tuk. You will first visit Angkor Thom (the “great city”) then the majestic Ta Prohm often called the “Tomb Raider temple”.

During your day exploring the temples of the majestic Angkor Archaeological Park, you will pass the baray of Srah Srang, a reservoir used for royal baths during the era of the Khmer Empire. There you can enjoy and relaxing home-cooked lunch

Then enjoy a foot massage session on site.

In the afternoon, you will go to the marvelous and gigantic temple of Angkor Wat, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and which has remained an important religious center since its creation in the 12th century. It also offers a timeless moment, when you walk through its walls covered with vegetation...

Option 3: Visit to the temples Kbal Spean-Banteay Srei-Banteay Samre-village activities:

Early in the morning, departure for an excursion to Kbal Spean , north of Angkor.

Then, take part in the life of a local village:

You will discover and help in the different stages of making rice noodles then you will enjoy your production with the family.

Then, you will reach another village specializing in the production of sticky rice cooked in bamboo and in the harvest of coconuts. You will witness the preparation and filling of bamboo while enjoying Cambodian snacks and a fresh coconut.

On the road you will find different sugar palm . The locals will tell you all the ways they use the fruit. Don't be shy and try!

For your final stop, you will stop at a house where the family makes and sells palm leaf crafts . They will show you how to create an object that you can then keep as a souvenir of your experience!

Breakfast in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will visit Banteay Srei (the “citadel of women”), dedicated to Shiva, and whose architecture and pink sandstone sculptures constitute a masterpiece of Khmer art.

Stop at Banteay Samre , a beautiful temple built in the same artistic style as Angkor Wat.

Option 4: Visit to the floating village of Kampong Kleang:

In the morning, transfer to the village of Kampong Kleang where you will board a local boat and meander (1h30) quietly on Tonlé Sap Lake to observe the small floating villages.

Then picnic lunch in a local house.

Return to your accommodation.

Distance: Siem Reap / Kompong Khleang - 52 kilometers (1 hour and 30 minutes), in both directions

Option 5: Discovery of the Angkor complex by bike:

During this bike tour, you will discover famous isolated Angkorian temples . You will cycle between the different sites on small preserved paths and cross the forest, temples and villages. Your visit will end with two temples from the 10th century: Eastern Mebon and Pre Rub. On the way back, you will cycle through the countryside and admire the beautiful rice fields before stopping to watch the sunset at Srah Srang.

Distance and duration of the bike tour: 38 kilometers - 4 hours

Difference in height: less than 150 meters (+25 meters / - 36 meters) 

Type of terrain: paved roads, narrow paths through the jungle and small paths through local villages   

Transport: a vehicle will accompany you all day – 10 kilometers - 20 minutes (from the end point of the tour to the hotel).  

Note: possibility of increasing the distance to be covered by bike to 48 kilometers, by reducing the length of the transfer.

Discovery of the Battambang countryside in 2 days 1 night:

Day 1 : Siem Reap-Battambang

In the morning, you will leave by road for Battambang via Sisophon. Along the way, you will stop in a village where artisan stone carvers with ancestral know-how live. The opportunity to discover their techniques and their way of life, by interacting with them during a special moment.

Distance: 163 kilometers - 4 hours

Breakfast in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, walk in the colonial district.

The Bamboo Train is one of Battambang's most famous attractions. It's a unique and really fun way to experience Battambang's most beautiful rural landscapes, plus it's incredibly authentic to admire the beauty of the region in this way.

Duration: 45 minutes

Finally visit Phnom Sampov which dominates the landscape with its natural and historical site known for its various sanctuaries and temples built at the top of the hill, most of them are commemorative monuments of its "killer caves" from the Khmer era red. Phnom Sampov is best known for the daily spectacle offered by its bat caves. At the end of the day, sit at the foot of the hill to watch millions of them emerge from the caves for the night.

Day 2 : Battambang-Siem Reap

The Battambang bike tour is an unusual way to get off the beaten track and discover the real life of the inhabitants of the Cambodian hinterland. Observe the daily activities of locals such as making handmade knives and preparing sticky rice and the traditional fish paste called prahok .

Distance: 20 kilometers to Ek Phnom (the last 8 kilometers are optional)

Breakfast in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, return to Siem Reap (4 hours).
