The majestic temple of Wat Prah Singh, its high chedi and its golden roofs, the ravishing Wat Phan Tao and the elegance of Wat Prasat will charm you, before discovering the ruins of Chedi Luang. Then, visit by minibus to the lively Warorot market, one of the largest in the city.

Retreat and meditation at Doi Suthep until evening:

In the afternoon, explore the centuries-old Doi Suthep. Located on one of the highest hills, this temple is easily accessible from Chiang Mai. Doi Suthep is of great importance from a spiritual point of view; You will witness a private blessing and chants from the monks, a humbling spiritual experience that will give you food for thought. With a light mind and a peaceful body, take the time to admire the sunset on the horizon.

Half day cycling around Wiang Kum Kam:

After stopping by the bike shed, head to Pa Daed, to the south of the city, to discover the history and culture of Chiang Mai and its surroundings.

You will be fascinated by the calm of the daily life of residents outside the city. There is no shortage of interesting sites, such as a former leper colony, local temples or workplaces. Towards the end of your tour, you will arrive at the ruins of Wiang Kum Kam, an ancient historical site in northern Thailand. These are less touristy than the famous temples of the city and your guide will explain the history of this forgotten city. Return to your apartment after lunch.

Instead of relying on chemicals and farming techniques that are harmful to nature, people have chosen environmentally friendly methods that benefit both people and the earth. Coffee is one of the main crops there and you will have the day to learn more about its manufacturing process, from plant to cup. Depending on the season you can take part in different activities while walking through the neighboring fields and forests discovering the Lahu minority and their culture.

Discovering the life of the inhabitants of the Thai countryside:

Pick up at 8:45 a.m. at your hotel by your FSG and your Thai driver. After breakfast, your destination will be the countryside around Chiang Mai. This day in the local community will allow you to learn more about the history, culture and daily lives of the locals, while still allowing for interactive experiences. For example, you will learn the basics of growing rice and can even try your hand at some of the stages of the process, such as planting or harvesting rice (depending on the season). During this day, you will meet the local population, eat delicious food and get up close and personal with the buffalo. A pleasant excursion to the countryside, which will appeal to young and old!

Cooking classes in Pantawan:

Before your cooking class, take a trip to the local market to choose your fresh ingredients. The chef will then show you how he cooks each dish, then it will be your turn to get started on your wooden worktop. The four carefully prepared dishes will then be served at the table in a splendid garden. The menu changes daily and is dedicated to a specific region or theme to offer more choice. It is also possible to take a private lesson with a chef.

Notes: Duration: morning from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visit to the local market only during the morning session The menu changes every week

Try your hand at the art of pottery:

The manufacture of various types of terracotta pottery such as vases, jars, pots and other flower vases remains an ancestral art still practiced today in a traditional way in northern Thailand.

In a small village located on the outskirts of Chiang Mai, you can learn more about this ancient profession and its traditions. And take advantage of your visit to the village to get a glimpse of local daily life by strolling past some small local shops and stalls. You will then settle into the workshop and take a seat on your potter's stool to try your hand at pottery with your family. A craftsman will then show you the tips and basics of the potter's profession. By listening to his advice for shaping this clay typical of the region, you will be able to create your own pottery!

A real moment of sharing around a traditional Thai activity – fun, interactive and friendly.

Hiking in the footsteps of the Hmongs:

Pick up at 7:30 a.m. at your hotel by your ESG and your Thai driver. At the start of the morning you will head towards Doi Suthep mountain and start with a visit to its magnificent temple, one of the most famous monuments of Chiang Mai. You will arrive early enough to have the opportunity to visit the temple complex without the crowds. You will then continue to the village of Doi Pui, a Hmong village which has become a major tourist attraction over the years.

The village is very developed and quite commercially oriented, but after meeting your guide you will leave the souvenir shops to begin your hike in nature. You will then follow the path which will take you to another Hmong village on the other side of the mountain. Along the way, your local guide from the Hmong minority will tell you about life in the mountains and the importance of this historic path. As you walk, you'll find stunning panoramas that will be even more impressive on a clear day.
