Appointment with your English-speaking guide for the discovery of the Historic Old Havana. The visit is done on foot in the heart of the typical alleys. " La Habana Vieja ". It is the heart of the city, surrounded by its old walls, which was registered with the cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO in 1982 and which constitutes the largest colonial downtown area of Latin America. For four centuries, the Spaniards ruled Cuba before the island gained its independence in 1899 and the United States took over through dictators like Batista. It is therefore logical that in architectural matters, Iberian-Andalusian influences are omnipresent. Today the city is in full restoration, so much the needs are urgent...

Lunch at the restaurant "La Bodeguita del medio" or similar. - 1 drink per person with the meal: mineral water or soda or Cuban beer. Short walk to the rum museum located in front of the seaport. Visit of the Fundacion Havana Club, installed in a colonial house of the XVIIIth century in the heart of the Old Havana. It is first of all a museum that retraces the history of rum in Cuba, exposes its different elaboration processes and takes the visitor inside an old rum factory. A spectacular model shows in miniature the life of a rum factory of the past centuries. It is also a place of relaxation and culture. There is, side by side, a store, a bar open day and night where the best musicians of the island perform, a conference room and an art gallery that allows the promotion of local artists throughout the year. Those who wish to do so can enjoy a wine tasting.
