Lombardy is one of the best-known regions of Italy and also one of the highlights of Italian gastronomy . Located between Switzerland, Piedmont, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy is blessed with an exceptional heritage. The region is full of natural spots, offering a vast playground for those practicing outdoor activities.

Attracting millions of visitors each year, it is particularly famous for its many lakes among the most beautiful in the world, such as Lake Maggiore (Logo Maggiore) and its islands of Brissago and Borromean Islands, the unmissable Lake Garda (Logo di Garda) with the medieval castle of the Roman town of Sirmione, without forgetting Lake Como (Logo di Como) nestled between green slopes and bordered by sumptuous villas including Villa Olmo, heavenly gardens and breathtaking villages .

In addition to its natural assets, Lombardy also has a rich cultural heritage . The Lombard capital, Milan, offers countless places to discover. Between La Scala, fashion, design, the Sforza Castle, the Duomo of Milan, the Santa Maria delle Grazie church, the science museum, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, or the San Siro stadium, Milan is therefore THE city not to be missed in Lombardy.

Known for its “upper town” (Città Alta), the ancient medieval city of Bergamo, listed as a UNESCO heritage site, has kept its ramparts intact. Bergamo is also the best place for a gourmet visit . Indeed, the province of Bergamo is known for its taragna polenta, a polenta combined with a local cheese (Branzi or Valtellina, alpine cheese) and its tasty gnocchi.

The Cremona nougat, made with almonds and hazelnuts, is also a delicacy not to be missed. Located on the banks of the Po, the city is popular for its baptistery and its dome on which stands the majestic Torrazzo of Cremona, the tallest campanile in Italy!

Other cities with exceptional artistic and architectural heritage are also worth discovering: Monza, Mantua, San Pellegrino Terme, Brescia, Pavia, Lecco, Chiavenna, Bellagio, etc.
