Antioquia is a department of Colombia located in the northwest of the country.
Its capital, Medellin (also called “city of eternal spring” for its average temperatures of 25°), is the second most populated city after Bogota. It is unfortunately known for its sad dark years of drug trafficking but today remains one of the most popular cities in the country. Its inhabitants, the païsas, are festive and very warm. Antioquia is recognized for its biodiversity thanks to its climate and the numerous rivers that cross the department. Touristically recognized for its typical villages and for the peñol de Guatape. In addition, it is a central region which gives quick access to the coffee zone or the Caribbean coasts.

 

Day 1: Arrival in Medellin

A private driver will pick you up and take you to the San Rafael village square.
Motocarro to leave the village then 40 minutes walk through the forest.
A family member will be waiting for you to start the walk towards this little paradise.

 

Day 2 > Day 29: Teleworking stay with Damien and Liumara

– Full board: 3 meals per day 7/7
– Laundry once per week
+ 2 Yoga sessions per week

 

Day 30: End of stay in Colombia

After demonstrating their ability to reforest, live in community and create beautiful families in Choco (neighboring department), Sergio, Betty and their children decided to return to their Antioqueña source and start the process again: buying deforested land dedicated to breeding to sow, sow and sow again. Around ten other families quickly followed suit. Together, they have been creating a paradise on earth along the Arenal River for more than 10 years.

Today there are 15 families associated in a 30 hectare nature reserve. Still others have united to learn to live in community and preserve the environment. They organize themselves, each with their own know-how, to form a community of regenerators of all kinds. They are in turn teachers for their children, musicians, architects, biobuilders, market gardeners, bird watching guides and distill good fruits for moments of celebration.

It is a paradise nestled in the mountains to which no car can access. You will have to walk 30 minutes in this forest which, from the first moment, will shock you, destabilize you and welcome you with the sound of birds and the river.

The space at Darien and Liumara is made up of:

  • 3 cabins: Arullo del Rio - Nido del Bosque (with private bathroom) - Barco del
  • Ensueño (with private bathroom)
  • 1 common living space with kitchen
  • 1 shared shower area and sink + laundry room
  • a chill space facing the mountain perfect for yoga
  • a vegetable garden
  • a badminton court
  • river and mountain available

The cabins were designed by Liumara, an architect by profession. They are intimate, conducive to rest and introspection.
