Cooking class with Mama Mary (1/2 day)

Maasai origin , Mama Mary generously shares the cultural and traditional heritage she received from her family. Located on the outskirts of the city of Arusha, his house is very nicely decorated with art objects and surrounded by a magnificent vegetable and botanical garden. Mama Mary will share with you some cooking secrets in her house and/or in a sheltered space located outside. She will teach you how to prepare various traditional Tanzanian dishes, which highlight products from her garden and the many spices she grows. You will then share this memorable meal with her! If you come on a Sunday or Thursday, it will also be possible to visit the local market to buy some products.

Day trekking at the foot of Mount Meru (1 day)

Mount Meru is an impressive 4,562 m in the heart of the Arusha National Park. After some formalities with the park authorities at the Momella Gate, you begin your trek through the park's bush, escorted by an armed ranger. In this rather open vegetation, you are likely to encounter giraffes, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, colobus monkeys, numerous birds and perhaps even elephants roaming free in their natural habitat. The duration of the excursion is 7 hours , with a picnic stop .

Safari in Tarangire National Park (2 days)

In the savannah and bush of Tarangire National Park, which covers an area of ​​around 3,000 km2, a large number of animals live. During the dry season, when the water of the Tarangire River attracts animals from all over the region, their numbers are particularly large, second only to the Serengeti. zebra , buffalo , wildebeest , hartebeest and greater kudu among others . However, Tarangire National Park is mainly known for its large numbers of elephants and its majestic baobab trees . Additionally, it is a birdwatching paradise , with more than 550 species recorded.

On the first day, your driver-guide picks you up early in the morning and you take the road to the park, located about two hours from Arusha. As soon as you enter it, you begin your photo safari. You spend the night at Tarangire Osupuko Lodge, located right next to the main entrance to the park.

The spacious en-suite bungalows have been designed to bring the beauty of the park indoors, thanks to their large floor-to-ceiling windows. They are also equipped with terraces from which you can often observe the animals roaming the bush below, or admire the sunrise. The lodge also offers a lounge, bar, restaurant and swimming pool.

The second day, you continue your safari in the park, if possible going towards the southern part which offers different but equally magnificent landscapes, as well as a wide variety of animals to observe. At the end of the afternoon, you return to Arusha.
